Much to Celebrate

Large Group Performance Evaluation Recap:

Thank you to everyone who made it out to the performing arts center to support our students! In addition to many supportive friends and parents, it was great to see Mr. McClendon and Mr. Hall in the audience for some of our performances! We are so fortunate that they continue to live in our community and serve as a supportive resource to our staff and students. Also, it was special to look out in the audience and see our administrators in attendance! Amidst their complex schedule of supporting all of our programs at Carrollton City Schools, Mr. David Brook and Dr. Mark Albertus found time to support our band students. The reward is in sharing our music with you! Thank you to all who were in attendance to support our students and allowed us to share our music!

What amazing performances by all three of our ensembles! Concert Band continues to show incredible growth and were led by our student teacher to excellent ratings on stage. They received a 1, 2, 2 on stage and a 1 in sight-reading! It was an exciting performance.

Mr. Bright led our Symphonic Band to receive a 1, 1, 1 on stage and a 1 in sight-reading! This was the Symphonic Band’s most challenging program at LGPE to date and was a memorable performance.

Our Wind Ensemble led by Mr. Carr also received a 1, 1, 1 on stage and a 1 in sight-reading! Additionally, this was the first time that the ensemble received a perfect 45/45 A’s in all captions. The students’ attention to detail continues to improve daily. We all look forward to starting new music on Monday.

I am so glad that we provide three ensembles to allow more of our students an opportunity to practice leadership! What remarkable performances! Many colleagues commended us on our student’s performance! So proud to be a Trojan!

Mr. Leland Alexander returns to Carrollton as the Carrollton Middle School Band Director.
