It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (and honor bands)!

Our season comes to a close

We hope you all had a restful week spending time with family and friends last week. We are truly thankful for all of our band parents and volunteers. While we hope that everyone enjoyed the week off, we came back to cheer on the Trojans on Friday night in Round 3 of the GHSA Class AAAAA playoffs. Although the game did not end the way we wanted, we are extremely proud of our Trojans this year. They fought valiantly to the end of the game and were tough competitors all season long.  We look forward to cheering them on again next season!

This Thursday we have the Carrollton Christmas parade and next Thursday is the Christmas Concert on December 12.

All-State Jazz Band Auditions

Please congratulate Andrew Stagliano, Jacob Sipes, and Robert Daniel for passing the first round of All-State Jazz auditions!  They continue their journey with the final audition at the Armstrong campus of Georgia Southern University in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday morning!  Congratulations! And GOOD LUCK!

District Honor Band Auditions

Students who have signed up for District Honor Band have auditions on Saturday, December 14 at East Paulding High School.  Our scheduled time is 1:00PM.  Students should arrive by 12:30PM to register and warm-up before auditioning.  Auditions will take place on a first come, first served basis.  Once you are finished warming up, please report to your assigned room and get in line for your audition.  Judges are at lunch from 12:00-1:00, so if you arrive at 12:30 and warm-up, you should be able to get in line around 12:50 and be one of the first to audition after lunch.

Holiday Concert

Coming up soon is the Christmas concert on December 12th at 7:00 pm in the Mabry arts center. This is sure to be a festive and fun evening.  We are sharing the concert with our choir and drama departments.  Make plans to be there and tell your family and friends to join us as well!

IMPORTANT–HEALTH CLASS

INFORMATION

All work for the health class is past due.  The Google Classroom should now be reporting grades to the students.  Please ask your child to look at their grade in Google Classroom. This is what will be reflected in their report card as their Health and PE grade.  Because I could not get the grade to report accurately until this week, I have extended make-ups through this week.  This is the LAST CHANCE to make up any work or retake any tests.  Thank you for your help with this matter.
