After an amazing concert where both the Carrollton Junior High School and Carrollton High School Bands offered stellar performances, Director of Bands, Chris Carr, announced that the Trojan Marching Band will be performing in New York City during spring break 2017.
The trip was announced with a mischievous video that eventually showcased the sites and sounds of ‘the city that never sleeps’ to students and parents who reacted with thunderous screams and applause. Some of the trip highlights revealed to the crowd was the Trojan Band’s performance site, the USS Intrepid, and plans to attend the musical Wicked on Broadway, with a special sneak peak behind-the-curtain tour.
Full details about the trip itinerary, cost, payment schedules, associated fundraisers. etc., will we provided at a parent/student trip meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 7pm in the Don Hall band room. All interested band students, including rising 8th graders, should attend this very important meeting.
