Good Sunday evening! I hope that you all were able to get some rest this weekend and enjoy some family time! It has been a busy couple of weeks! This week is an important week for several reasons:
- Last Hollywood Payment is due Tuesday, October 23rd!!
- All In One money is due Thursday, October 25th!
- Football game at Paulding County High School on Friday.
- Competition this Saturday, the 27th, at South Forsyth High School
So, get ready for a busy week!
Hollywood Trip Payment
The last payment for the Hollywood trip is due Tuesday, October 23rd. This means that each traveler should be paid IN FULL Tuesday!!
There will be a MANDATORY pre-trip meeting for EVERYONE traveling to Hollywood on November 15th at 6 PM. Please make sure to put that date and time on your calendar.
All In One Sale
Band Boosters will be available in the band room on Thursday, October 25th from 6-9 pm to receive your All in One forms and payments. Please get busy selling! Visit your neighbors, ask your co-workers, call band alum and ask them to support the Trojan Band! This year it is even easier for people to pay for their fruit and meat. Payments can be made on the CHS Trojan Band website at:

Customers will still need to pick up their orders, but they will be able to order and pay online! How convenient!
ALL students (band and guard) are EXPECTED to participate in this fundraiser. If you choose not to participate in the fundraiser, you are expected to make a $100 donation to the band boosters. I know this sounds harsh, but you can’t expect someone else to take up your slack just because you didn’t want to ask people to buy some fruit or meat. I know that it may be out of your comfort zone, but our community is kind and the band has a fantastic reputation, which makes our job easy to get people to buy from us!

North Georgia Marching Band Competition – Saturday 10/27
This is our final competition of the season and it is at South Forsyth High School. Our students continue to work extremely hard, let’s finish the season strong!

Dinner Concert: Chili-Cook-Off
Tuesday, October 30. We are in need of volunteers to cook chili. Please make your favorite chili in a crockpot and bring to share. We will have guest judges to select the best chili. Also, don’t forget to bring some drinks and desserts to share with everyone! The idea is to have dinner and an informal concert to showcase the work that our students have been doing during class. In addition to marching band, the students have prepared chamber music, percussion ensembles, chamber music, and jazz charts to share with you this evening. Dinner will start at 6:00PM accompanied by chamber music, and the percussion ensembles and jazz bands will begin at 7:00PM. We will be finished by 8:00PM.
We will need volunteers to help set up (5:00PM – 6:00PM), to bring chili (please bring your chili by 5:30PM in a crock pot with a ladle and any fixings that are appropriate for your chili), and to clean up (8:00PM – 8:30PM).
