On Friday, February 25, 2022 our Trojan Band performed a parade through Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in celebration of the theme park’s 50th anniversary! This marks the Trojan Band’s 6th major anniversary performance which include a parade through Atlanta for the 50th anniversary of the Chick-fil-a Bowl in 2018, a trip to Normandy for the 60th anniversary of D-Day in 2004, a ceremonial performance in Warm Springs to honor the 50th anniversary of president Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1995, a performance in Pasadena for the 100th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade in 1989, and a parade through Atlanta celebrating Coca-Cola’s 100th Anniversary! Our students carried themselves with dignity and respect. Their performance was outstanding and they were honorable ambassadors of our great community during every aspect of their trip! Way to go, Trojans!

A very special thank you to Mark Drury with Super Holiday Tours for organizing the trip for us and helping us to navigate the logistical challenges of Presidents Day Week and Run Disney Weekend! Also, thank you for these amazing pictures of our students in the parade!

Getting up before 6:00AM to spend all day in the parks with teenagers and getting to bed close to midnight each day only to do it all over again the next day is a brutal schedule, and our chaperones did this everyday with a smile on their face! We are very lucky for your willingness to serve our students! You could have easily did the trip on your own without having to follow our schedule, but your selfless service is what made this trip possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You are the true heroes!

Annual Trojan Band March 5K and Fun Run • PLEASE SHARE

We will be hosting our Annual 5K and Fun Run on March 19. We want to continue creating a distinguished experience for our participants and guests so for this to be an ongoing tradition, we need your help, both students and parents. Students can access the student volunteer form here. Parents, we request your assistance as well, helping mostly with money, but we do need you there as a support system for our student workers. Thank you for helping our event run smoothly. Please use this sign up sheet.

What’s an event without entertainment? There will be games and other fun activities during the event so bring the whole family! Looking forward to seeing each of you there!

Senior Spotlight – Need your help

We would like to continue our Senior Spotlights tradition that was started last year. Seniors or senior parents, click here to fill out this form to allow us to customize your senior spotlight. Filling out the form allows us to celebrate our senior’s future plans and share photos of them from throughout their school careers.

Graduation

Just a reminder that Graduation this year is on May 20, 2022 although our last day of school is not until May 25. This is an important evening for all of our band students because not only do we get to celebrate with our graduating seniors, but we perform as part of the ceremony. This is a required performance for all wind and percussion students. An itinerary will be posted as we get closer to graduation, but I wanted to make sure that you understood that this is an evening commitment for our band students.
