Week at a Glance:

  • Monday: Full Band 3:45PM – 6:15PM
  • Tuesday: Full Band 3:45PM – 6:15PM
  • Thursday: Full Band 6:00PM – 9:00PM
    • Virtual Open House – Students should attend practice, parents please attend open house using your child’s Google Classroom login information. More information below.
  • Friday: Scrimmage (students are welcome to attend, but we will not be there as a full band)
  • Saturday: Full Band 1:00PM – 9:00PM

Virtual Open House

Welcome to the 2021-2022 Carrollton High School Virtual Open House. Below you will find all the information needed to attend each class virtual open house and additional information required to attend. If you would like to have an individual meeting with your child’s teacher, please contact them individually via email.

Virtual Open House Schedule:

  • 6:00 pm – Welcome Presentation by Principal, Ian Lyle (sent via infinite campus messenger)
  • 6:15 pm-6:30 pm – 1st Block 
  • 6:30 pm-6:45 pm – 2nd Block
  • 6:45 pm-7:00 pm – 3rd Block 
  • 7:00 pm-7:15 pm – 4th Block 

Each class session will be 15 minutes and consists of a virtual meet and greet with your child’s teacher. You will access the virtual open house through google classrooms. You will need access to your child’s google classroom account to locate the meeting link. A step by step tutorial is provided below:

Step by Step Tutorial (desktop or computer):

  1. Access the website : Classroom.google.com
  2. Sign in to your child’s google classroom account (You need your child’s account information)
  3. Click on the individual classes open house you are attending (make sure it is the correct time noted above)
  4. Click on the “join classroom link” below the classroom title
  5. Join the virtual presentation and enjoy!

Step by Step Tutorial (phone access):

  1. Access the application on your iPhone or Android device
  2. Sign in to your child’s google classroom account
  3. Click on the individual classes open house you are attending (make sure it is the correct time noted above)
  4. Click on the small camera in the top right corner of the screen
  5. Join the virtual presentation and enjoy!


We are in the middle of our annual sponsorship drive. Packets were distributed during the 2nd week of band camp. Students were assigned businesses to ask about sponsoring the band. Students will be rewarded 10% of each sponsorship that they or their parents secure. Money can be applied to band fees or trips. If you need more sponsorship forms please email Jennifer Carden at jenn.chsbandbooster@gmail.com.

Saturday Rehearsal

Itinerary for Saturday

  • 1:00PM – 5:00PM Rehearsal in the SAC
  • 5:00PM – 6:00PM Dinner (Volunteers Needed)
  • 6:00PM – 9:00PM Full Band in Grisham Stadium

Volunteers: We need volunteers to help with dinner: set up, serve, and clean up.

Water Donations

We use thousands of bottles of water each marching season and ask each student to please either donate 4 cases of water or $10. If you haven’t made your donation, please get it turned in this week. Waters can be delivered to the front lobby and we will ask a volunteer to help move them to the designated storage area behind the band building.

Disney Trip – Waiting List & Next Payment Due

The next trip payment ($225 per person) is due to Super Holiday Tours on August 23. If you are paying at the school and not through their website, remember it is due 1 week earlier, August 16.

Did you forget to sign-up for the Disney Trip? We are still allowing people to sign up to be added to our waiting list. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please sign up on the Super Holiday Tours website, but do not pay. Once we know there is available room we will notify you to get caught up with your payments. Please visit our Disney Trip page for more information on how to register. Health Class

If you haven’t completed the eADAP process or the other units yet, you are beginning to fall behind. Please work diligently to get caught up. The eADAP component is required for you to receive credit for the health class. Get caught up by the end of this week.

Things are about to get busier. Do not forget to keep working on your health classwork. Many students have completed the class already!! Congratulations!!
