Virtual Band Banquet • April 27, 7:00 PM
The banquet will still take place on Monday, April 27 at 7:00 PM, although the format will be a little different. We will recognize the superlative winners and show the video created by Alexis Hansen with footage and pictures that she has been collecting for us all year long. The video will end with the marching show performance.
Our virtual banquet will take place via YouTube at 7:00PM. The video will premiere at that time allowing us all to watch it for the first time at the same time. Check our Youtube Page for information on the premiere. It will be uploaded and ready to start the countdown tomorrow afternoon. Log on just before 7:00 to make sure that you don’t miss anything.
We have some special messages from our seniors, a wonderful montage video created by Alexis Hansen, the superlative award announcements, and some other special messages prepared for you. Although it isn’t our preferred method to recognize our seniors, it is heartfelt and turning out to be a nice tribute. I hope that you will join us tomorrow evening!
Marching Band 2021 Student/Parent Meeting
Thursday, April 30 at 6:00PM we will meet via Google Meet and discuss next year’s dates, forms, fees, etc. Here are the details to join the meeting:
Friday, May 1
Join Mr. Carr as he celebrates the fight against Childhood Cancer in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and in honor of Chase McDaniel and Bryan Perez. He will be shaving his head via live stream at 11:00AM. Tune in to our Facebook Page to watch the stream! @chstrojanbands.
Also, if you have not made a deposit for the Liberty Tour trip for next year, Mr. Carr will be at the band room from 5:00pm – 6:00pm to allow you to pay in person. You can still pay via revtrak as well. Deposits are due on May 1.
Band BBQ – July 31
As of right now we are planning on having the BBQ on Friday, July 31, the last day of band camp. We hope this give adequate time for the COVID-19 pandemic to ease up and allow larger gatherings to begin. It will be in conjunction with “Trojan Night” which is the performance evening to capstone Band Camp. We will need volunteers for that day to set up and sell BBQ in addition to needing volunteers to help with serving lunch and clean up that day. If you can be available, we thank you for your help!
Senior Class of 2020, we invite you to join us for Trojan Night so that we can honor you appropriately. We are sad that we are unable to perform Battle Hymn for you and conduct our shoe and sock ceremony this school year. but, we would be honored if you would allow us to celebrate you at the end of band camp. You would join us on the field after the Band Camp performance to perform a couple of your favorite stands tunes and then be recognized individually. This would allow us to publicly present your senior plaque to you. If you are unable to attend, we will schedule a time to get your awards to you. Please e-mail Mr. Carr at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Below is a sketch of the itinerary for the evening:
Skits start at 6:00PM • Field Show 7:00PM • Stands Tunes 7:30PM • Battle Hymn 7:45PM • Candle Light Ceremony • 8:15PM
Liberty Tour 2021 Trip
While we understand that this time is filled with uncertainty, we have decided to NOT change the due date of the trip deposit. The reason for this is if we push back the deposit, it will only require us to increase the minimums due at each milestone date. Again, please know that this decision was not an easy one to come to. So as a reminder – a $50 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is due by May 1, 2020 to secure your spot on the trip. You will be able to make payments for your trip through RevTrak by clicking here. Please note that you will need to pay the service fee when paying online. This is the only method of accepting payments due to the “stay-at-home” order implemented by the Carroll County Board of Health and the City of Carrollton.
Should you want to make a deposit but cannot pay by credit/debit card, please contact Mr. Carr email@example.com or Ed Redmond firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set up a time and date to collect your payment.
