Trojan Tradition in 2 Historic Cities
If you were unable to attend the Booster meeting last Tuesday night, you missed the announcement of the next Trojan Band trip. In the Spring of 2021, our band will be travelling to Philadelphia and Washington DC. We are still working out the details, but we plan on performing a patriotic show for the trip so that we can perform Battle Hymn and pull the flag in these two historic cities. We will have a trip meeting soon to discuss cost, fundraising strategies, etc.

Pastapalooza – January 28
We were able to reschedule our Pasta-Palooza to January 28, 2020 at 6PM with a concert following at 7PM in the CHS Cafeteria. We are asking you to sign up to bring either a pasta dish, drinks and/or a dessert (something that does not need to be cut, something like brownies, cupcakes, cookies, etc). If you bring a pasta dish we will have judges available and we will be presenting prizes for first, second and third place. While we are asking you to bring all of the food and drinks for this event, much like we did for the Chili Cook-off last year, we are asking for donations of $10 per person up to a maximum of $30 for your immediate family (mom, dad and siblings). If you want to pay for your donation online you can do so by clicking here. If you just want to attend the concert, please show up in the CHS Cafeteria by 7PM.

UWG LGPE Clinic
The University of West Georgia has started a LGPE Clinic and we are excited that our Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble have been invited to participate on Wednesday, February 12. The clinic will take place at Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center. The students will do a run through of their music, receive commentary from UWG Faculty, and rehearse with Dr. Byrd for the remainder of the clinic. Each clinic is roughly an hour and a half. This will undoubtedly be a profound experience for our students in their preparation for LGPE.
Upcoming Spirit Nights
Do you enjoy dining at Moe’s and/or American Pie PIzza, do you enjoy supporting our band, well then we have some great news. We have started Spirit Nights back at both places.
For Moe’s, the first Tuesday of every month from 5PM – 8PM Moe’s will donate 10% of their sales to the Boosters. Next one is on February 4, 2020
For American Pie, we have scheduled 4 Spirit Nights (which can be found within Charms… so have you synced your calendar to have Charms events listed on your calendar. See below for instructions) for this year. From 5PM – 9PM on those nights, American Pie will donate 15% of all noted (you will need to turn in a ticket when ordering your food) sales to the boosters. Next one is on February 20, 2020. (2/20/2020 – Let’s Celebrate)
