Competition on Saturday!

Another outstanding week! Our students continue to provide incredible effort, and our parents are absolutely the best. Thank you all for your efforts and support. Friday night we hosted our 8th graders and it was so much fun! We had almost 300 studnets in the stands and we made a lot of joyful noise! The spirit was high and the atmosphere was electric. We look forward to welcoming these 8th graders into our program as freshmen next year! Huge thank you to Ms. Menendez for being a ROCKSTAR. She is one of the best music teachers in the state, and an incredible team member. We are SO THANKFUL for her leadership of our middle school band program! Thank you to Bri Nitz for these fantastic photos from the evening.

This Saturday, we attend our first competition of the year and begin a very busy week for our band program. We return to The Ring of Fire hosted by Sonoraville High School on Saturday, attend the County Exhibition the following Tuesday, and then compete at the Super Bowl of Sound hosted by Central-Carroll. It’s going to be a great couple of weeks! Let’s finish strong.

Sonoraville Competition on SATURDAY!

We perform at the 2nd Annual Ring of Fire competition hosted by Sonoaraville High School on September 26. We will report at 10:00 AM to get our minds focused for the performance and will stop by Buccee’s on the way to allow students to grab some dinner if needed. We also plan on stopping by Buccee’s on the way home for students to use the restroom and grab a quick snack on the way home.

Message from Sonoraville’s Band Director: Sonoraville Elementary School will be used for spectator parking this year. We are going to close the Rec to all spectator traffic except for overflow in case the main campus and SES fill up. There will be a shuttle from that lot. No spectator traffic should travel past those overflow lots or enter the Rec from SHS.

Our students perform better when you are there cheering them on! Don’t be shy when our students take the field, let our students know that you are there. Cheer louder than all of the other parents. You can buy your ticket by scanning the QR code above or by visiting this link: Ring of Fire Tickets.

Carroll County Exhibition | 9/29/26

The performance schedule has not been released yet, but we are pretty confident that our times are correct based on years past. It’s going to be a great evening of bands! Plan on being there.
Students, you can pre-order concessions for that evening by using this link: Exhibition Concessions PREORDER is due by Thursday, September 24, 2026 to give us time to have everything ordered in time. Use the blue link to pre-order.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1 – UPDATED TIME

We have updated our practice time on Thursday, October 1 to right after school. There is a football game that evening that will not start until later in the evening, which might prevent us from getting in the stadium. Dr. Carr has worked with Coach King to allow the band to use the stadium right after school on October 1, so that the band can prepare properly for the competition on October 3. We will also still plan on meeting right after school on Friday, October 2, as listed in the handbook and on the website.

Super Bowl of Sound | October 3 | Central-Carroll HS

Make plans to attend the competition on October 3. Again, we want you there cheering louder than all of the other parents. This will be our Senior’s last competition. Let’s continue to support them big and cheer for them very loudly! You can get your tickets on GoFan using the QR above of by using this link: Super Bowl of Sound Tickets.

Help Us Find Community Sponsors

Our band families are some of our best ambassadors in the community! If you know a business, organization, or individual who may be interested in supporting the Carrollton Trojan Band, please consider sharing our Band Sponsorship Flyer. Students will receive 10% of the sponsorship to assist with their band fees. We have physical copies in the band room if you’d like a few to share with potential partners. Sponsorships provide meaningful opportunities and experiences for our students while allowing our community partners to support and be connected with the Trojan Band.
