This past week was a fantastic week for our band program! We had the opportunity to perform our full show at the football on Friday, our team had another huge win at the game, and we had our annual Saturday rehearsal. The show was good on Friday, but it has evolved so much thanks to the reherasal on Saturday. Thank you to the parents who helped provide dinner, serve dinner, worked on props, and provided moral support. We were joined by Chad Dickerson from Jackson County, and Jamar Morrison, who flew in from Dallas to assist us with new choreography. We look forward to performing again for everyone at the game on Friday!
This Friday is our 8th Grade Night and we are excited to host 80 more band students in the stands! We will have almost 300 band students in the stands on Friday, it’s going to be a fun evening! Additionally, we most likely will have the full half-time again, so we plan on performing the full show again. We received many compliments about the show and we look forward to showing it off with all of the improvements that we will make before Friday. The students continue to provide extraordinary efforts! It’s been an outstanding season so far and we look forward to finishing strong!

8th Grade Night on Friday
We are excited to be joined by our 8th Graders on Friday for the game vs. West Charlotte. We will have a rehearsal right after school on Friday to include them in our pre-game routine, and it appears that we will havse the opportunity to perform our entire show on Friday during halftime. Concession pre-orders are due by Tuesday evening. We are sorry for the hiccups that were experienced for the first game. A new system was implemented last game and it appears that the process is now working. Please order with confidence that your order will be correct. Thank you for your patience as the new process was developed.
Sonoraville Competition Next Week!
We perform at the 2nd Annual Ring of Fire competition hosted by Sonoaraville High School on September 26. We will report at 10:00 AM to get our minds focused for the performance and will stop by Buccee’s on the way to allow students to grab some dinner if needed. We also plan on stopping by Buccee’s on the way home for students to use the restroom and grab a quick snack on the way home.
Carroll County Exhibition | 9/29/26
The performane schedule has not been released yet, but we are pretty confident that our times are correct based on years past. It’s going to be a great evening of bands! Plan on being there.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1 – UPDATED TIMES
We have updated our practice time on Thursday, October 1 to right after school. There is a football game that evening that will not start until later in the evening, which might prevent us from getting in the stadium. Dr. Carr has worked with Caoch King to allow the band to use the stadium right after school on October 1, so that the band can prepare properly for the competition on October 3. We will also still plan on meeting right after school on Friday, October 2, as listed in the handbook and on the website.
