Celebrate our Veterans

Friday’s game versus Douglas County was a nail biter! Our band students did a fantastic job cheering on our Trojans to help them over come and win the game. We look forward to cheering them on loudly again this week as we enter the first round of the playoffs and face off against Creekview HS.

Additionally, we have prepared a concert for Veteran’s Day. Some of the music will be presented during the ROTC assemblies on Thursday and the football game on Saturday in addition to at our Concert on Thursday evening.

Rehearsals

In preparation for our concert we need after school rehearsals to practice together with our winds and percussion who are in separate classes. Wind Ensemble will practice on Monday, November 8 from 3:45-6:00 and Symphonic/Concert Band will practice on Tuesday, November 9 from 3:45-6:00.

ROTC Assemblies

Wind Ensemble will also perform for our high school Veterans Day assemblies on November 11. The first assembly is at 10:00am and the second one is at 2:20pm. Students who need notes for college classes, please contact Mr. Carr so that he can assist you in receiving proper permission to participate. This is an important service to our school and community and it requires all of our participation to make it successful.
