Pre-Festival at County Performing Arts Center

I hope that everyone had a terrific President’s Day break and enjoyed their day off from school.  Important events ahead!

Thank you to Mr. Jindrich and the Temple High School Band for their invitation to allow us to perform in the venue that we will perform in for Festival in March.  This will allow us an opportunity to receive accurate feedback concerning balance and allow the students to become more accustomed to the hall before Festival.

Carrollton High School Band’s Itineraries

  • 4:15PM Load Trailer
  • 4:30PM Eat Chick-fil-a* (please bring $3 for the meal or $5 to help a friend)
  • 5:30PM In Concert Attire and load buses
  • 5:45PM Depart for the PAC
  • 6:00PM Watch other bands
  • 6:40PM Concert Band heads to the warm-up (in audience after performance)
  • 7:20PM Symphonic Band heads to the warm-up (in audience after performance)
  • 8:00PM Wind Ensemble heads to the warm-up room
  • 9:30PM Return to CHS after Wind Ensemble’s performance

*This is a meal that was not included in the band fees.  We are asking each student to please bring $3 to help us pay for the Chick-fil-a.  If you are willing to send in $5.00 it will be greatly appreciated!

Tentative Festival (LGPE) Dates and Times

Festival will be hosted at the Carroll County PAC on March 11-12, 2019.  Admission is free and open to the public.  I hope that you will mark your calendars and plan on supporting our band students!

All-State Band is next weekend

Please congratulate the following students for making All-State: Andrew Stagliano, principal baritone saxophone; Kelley Ozier, euphonium; and Taylor Berry, trombone (alternate).  They practiced extensively to earn this honor and I look forward to their performance next weekend in Athens, GA at the Classic Center.
