First off, Happy Labor Day! We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing day off from school and practice on Monday. We also have an OPEN week this week in regards to the football schedule, which means no game or performance this Friday. The band will practice as usual on Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Most important: With our marching band competition just a little over a month away, we will be holding a Legacy of Champions practice run-through this Friday, 9/11/2015, at 6pm starting at the band room. So if you have volunteered or are interested in helping out the day of the event, October 10, 2015, please try and join us this Friday. We will take this opportunity to orient everyone to your assigned teams, work stations, and duties, as well as answer any questions you may have. Practice shouldn’t last much over an hour for most volunteers. Please note that for an event this size we will need and are expecting all parents to participate to ensure a successful day. Finally, District Honor Band (DHB) and All-State (AS) sign-ups were held last week in class.  The audition cost for District Honor Band is $15 and $25 for All-State. Money is due to Mrs. Dothard by this Friday, September 11, 2015.
