Spring Concert This Tuesday

This past week we had another successful Band BBQ! Thank you so much to Cheryl Moore, Jennifer Volk, and Sarah Bush for your leadership of the event and the incredible parent volunteers who worked beside you! We had an outstanding team help us prepare on Wednesday, and a terrific team on Thursday putting the plan into place. We were able to raffle off some great prizes including multiple Nespresso machines, a mini-chainsaw, a battery powered blower, binoculars, waffle makers, a telescope, and $500. Thank you to Edward Moore for your donations of the raffle items. This was an outstanding year for our BBQ. We do not have concrete numbers yet, but our pre-sales this year matched our total sales last year and we still sold many the day of the event. Thank you so much to the businesses who purchased meals for their employees and to our delivery drivers who were able to help us to fill those orders. The evening ended with a heartfelt tribute to our seniors with one last performance of Battle Hymn. Also, the directors were surprised with very generous gifts from our senior class and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for not only the gifts but for the commitment that our seniors have poured into our band program these last 4 years. We had the privilege of watching Wicked on Broadway this past November and they coined it best: “Because I know you, I have been changed for good.” Our seniors have changed our band for good and we are so thankful.

Charms Changes Ahead – Soon to be CutTime

We received news that our database that we use to keep information for the booster club has been purchased by another company. We are in the process of migrating the information and wanted to give you a heads up before the changes take place. The new software is called CutTime and it will offer similar features that we had access to in Charms.
