What a game on Friday night and our band brought the energy to help our team stay motivated through all 4 quarters of football with a 52 – 27 victory over Walton! With this being our first year in Class 7A, this is a monumental season already. We continue chasing history as we travel to Mack Tharpe Stadium to play Colquitt County High School on Friday for the Final 4. Go Trojans!

Friday’s Itinerary • Away vs. Colquitt County
- We will perform our Christmas parade tune and Battle Hymn for Halftime —
- Load instrument/equipment on to the van trailer at the end of class • Percussion and Guard load before school 8:00AM
- After 2nd Block Report to the Band Room
- 11:45AM Uniform check in band room – travel in partial uniform (Forecast says no rain, 68º at start of game, 56º at end of game)
- Band in our full white uniform (no shakos or gloves) • Guard in our pre-game black uniform with warm-ups
- 12:00PM Grab a sack lunch and load the buses for Colquitt County High School
- ~2:30-3:00PM Stop enroute for a restroom break • The plan is to make it all the way to Ft. Valley and stop at Bucee’s. (30 Min)
- 4:45PM Dinner in Tifton (bring money for a fast food restaurant)
- W 2nd Street in Tifton (McDonalds, Arbys, KFC, Checkers, Taco Bell)
- 5:45PM Depart for Mack Tharpe Stadium • 1000 Stadium Dr. • Moultrie, GA 31768 (This is not at the high school)
- 6:30PM Arrive and prepare for game
- 7:30PM Kick Off
- 10:30PM Game Ends • Load and Depart
- 12:30AM – 1:00AM Stop enroute for restroom (Marathon JP Travel Station in Jackson, GA)
- ~3:00AM arrive back at CHS • Updates provided via REMIND
Clear Bag Policy • Mack Tharpe Stadium • Moultrie, GA
The Colquitt County School District Clear Bag Policy strictly limits the size and types of bags that are permitted at events held at this venue. The following bags and items will be permitted:
- Each person may carry in one bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or EVA no larger than 12” by x 6” x 12” OR a
one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). - In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, each person may also carry in a small clutch purse no
larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap. - An exception may be made for the following items:
o Medically necessary items - Additional clothing, coats, jackets, sweaters, towels and blankets are permitted if carried loosely or in
an approved clear bag. - Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones are permitted if carried in a person’s pocket or in an
approved clear bag or small clutch.

Christmas Sponsorship

The families that we were assigned have a total of 7 children. The 1st family has 4 children (13F, 10M, 7F, 4M) and the 2nd family has 3 children (6M, 4F, 2F). Once you purchase the gift please label it with the child’s letter or number and bring it to the band room, unwrapped by December 3, 2022- the day of the parade and Christmas Party.

We will march in the Carrollton Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3 at 5:30PM.

Christmas Concert

We will perform a Christmas concert alongside our Chorus classes on Thursday, December 8. In preparation of the concert we have a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, December 7 from 3:30PM – 6:00PM in the MAC with the choir.
