Winter Guard

Our Silver and Gold Winter Guards competed on Saturday in SAPA Championships hosted at the Buford City Arena. Both teams had their best performances of the season and were well received by the crowds. The winter season is such an important time for our color guard students as they continue developing skills with equipment and continued focus on movement. Auditions for our fall color guard are scheduled for April 26, 27, 29, and 30.

Brick of Sound 2 by Madison Pate

Madison Pate, one of our Trojan Band members and an accomplished author has just published her second book, Brick of Sound 2. This book is the sequel to her first book, Brick of Sound. The book takes readers on a journey through a world filled with magical powers, villains, monsters, and more, as a group of youth band together to stop a great evil from wreaking havoc and destruction upon their world. This is a fun book for children and adventurous parents alike. Although the book is available in book stores and on we will be celebrating Madison’s success with a book signing ceremony on Friday April 2, 2021 in the Media Center.

The official ceremony will take place at 9:15AM during first block band class in the CHS Media Center. Students should report to class as normal for announcements and attendance. Weather permitting, we will have a 2nd ceremony for our 2nd block band students right outside the media center (due to capacity limitations). Following each ceremony, students will have the opportunity to purchase the book and receive an autograph from Madison if they wish. A display will be available in the media center the week following Spring Break as well.

Copies of both books will be available for the following prices: Brick of Sound, $10 and Brick of Sound 2, $15.
