Camp Update

Although we are dealing with heat, pop up thunderstorms and rain showers, and a global pandemic, your children performing wonderfully! The first couple of days the staff like broken records having to remind the students very often about social distancing and mask wearing, today was MUCH better! We will continue to broken records when necessary as it is important to continue monitoring our students precautions to ensure mitigating the risk, but we are thankful that the students are beginning to take ownership of their health and safety. Thank you for your conversations with your children and for supporting our efforts in keeping them safe. Your reminders continue to have an impact, please continue to remind them about hydration, sunscreen, and nutrition too. We sent drill numbers to our designer today and we are excited about beginning drill for the show very soon! The Dream will be a very memorable show! The music is already coming together, I cannot wait to begin staging it with choreography and drill!

BBQ Money Turn-in is tomorrow

Please bring your packets, any money that you collected, and any remaining tickets tomorrow either with you at the beginning of camp or after camp.  We will have Band Boosters stationed outside the band room tomorrow morning during drop off and tomorrow afternoon during pickup.  Thank you for all of your hard work!  You can continue to sell tickets or let people know that there will be available “drive up” on the day of the BBQ (July 31).

Uniform or shoes sizing

If you have not been sized for shoes or measured for uniforms please let section leaders or band leadership know that you need to be sized.   

Band Camp Week 1 meals

If you have signed up for breakfast or lunch for this week, please make sure you stop by and grab your meal!  We have had a lot of left over food and we ask that you help us not waste!

Band Camp Week 2 lunches.  

If you haven’t completed the Band Camp Week 2 lunch sign up please do so immediately.  We are excited to have Subway, Moe’s, and Chick-fil-A next week and need your meal selections. Even if you are going to bring your lunch we ask that you complete the form and choose “I am going to bring my lunch” for the questions.

Camp Spirit Dress Up Days:

The leadership has decided on the following dress up days to add some fun to our week:

• Throwback Thursday (tomorrow)
• Fiesta Friday
• Section Monday (represent your section)
• Walt Disney Wednesday
• Spirit Friday (hoping to have Show Shirts in time? If not, wear Trojan attire)
