Happy New Year everyone and thank you to all of the students who participated in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl with us on January 1, 2018.  The temperatures were excessively cold, but our students persevered and gave an outstanding performance during the parade and the pre-game.

All-State auditions took place this past Saturday at Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Students had to make it past the first round of auditions, which were in December, to be invited to participate in this final round.  Please help us congratulate the following students for representing our Trojan Band at this audition:

The students competed against the other 2000 students who were attendance.  Carrollton High School had three names listed on the list for All-State this year!  Please help us to congratulate Kendall Ozier and Taylor Berry for making the band and Kelley Ozier for being listed as a first alternate!  Making All-State is a very difficult task and we are very proud to be represented by these students!  Congratulations!!

For more information regarding the Hollywood Christmas Parade Trip for November, please attend our meeting on Tuesday at 6:00PM. Cost, proposed itinerary, and payment options will all be discussed.  We are very excited about this opportunity for our children!  It will be a trip that your child will remember forever.  We look forward to seeing you Tuesday, January 9th at 6 PM in the Don Hall Band Room.

The Carrollton Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade is on Monday, January 15, 2018.  The Trojan Band will represent our community by marching in the parade.  Here is our itinerary for the parade.

• 9:45 AM Depart for Parade
• 10:00 AM Staging
• 11:00 AM Step-Off
• 12:00 PM Arrive back at Carrollton High School

Mr. Bright has started a Basketball Pep Band for interested students.  Volunteers will perform at a couple of basketball games this year to cheer on our Trojans on Criswell Court.  Students will get in free to the game and have a chance to visit concessions between games for dinner.  Our first game is January 16, 2018.  Students should wear blue jeans and their show shirt to the games. Report time is 5:00PM to the band room and we should be done by 9:00PM.
