Good morning!
GMEA just released the rosters for district honor band and I am proud to announce the students who have earned the honor to represent Carrollton High School! Out of the thousands of students who auditioned on Saturday, we had 8 students stand out! Before I congratulate the students who were selected, I would like to recognize all of the students who made the commitment and auditioned on Saturday. Those who set the goal to audition are the students who are leading our band to new levels and setting a legacy continuing our tradition of excellence in all that we do. These students made personal goals and spent extra time practicing above and beyond what was required in band class. You’ve participated in a journey that might not have had the outcome that you desired, but because of the journey you are smarter, stronger, and more prepared for the next time. Not to mention you now have an experience that not all of our band students have experienced, which makes you a leader amongst our students. BRAVO for putting your fears aside and doing your best to reach higher! Students, please congratulate all of our students for trying out!
The following students deserve an extra congratulations for their selection into the district honor band! Click on the band name for a hyperlink to the full rosters and to see chair placement.
