Volunteers Needed for Carroll County Band Exhibition

Our very own Carrollton Trojan Marching Band will be participating in the upcoming Carroll County Band Exhibition this Tuesday, September 23rd, 2014 and we will need lots of help to support the band to ensure they can deliver an outstanding performance. Here are the details about the event and the itinerary for the day.

Carroll County Band Exhibition Hosted by Central-Carroll High School
Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Richards’ Stadium

The exhibition will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature marching bands from: Mt. Zion, Bowdon, Temple, Villa Rica, Carrollton, Central-Carroll and the University of West. Admission is $6.00 and all gate proceeds support the Dr. Norman L Padgett Scholarship, which is awarded each year to a Carroll County graduate who will be studying Music Education at the collegiate level. Because of this, no passes will be accepted at the gate.

6:30 PM National Anthem and Recognition of dignitaries

6:45 PM Mt. Zion H. S.

7:05 PM Bowdon H.S.

7:25 PM Temple H. S.

7:50 PM Villa Rica H. S. (CHS Band will watch from the track – in full uniform)

8:20 PM Carrollton H. S.

8:50 PM Central-Carroll H. S.

9:15 PM Univ. of West Georgia

 

CHS Band Itinerary:

3:15 PM Students report to the practice field

4:00 PM Load the Truck

4:45 PM Uniform check in the band room

5:00 PM Load Buses

5:15 PM Depart for Central HS

5:30 PM Unload at Central

6:00 PM Warm-Up

6:30 PM Performance of National Anthem

7:35 PM Report to track, find instrument and shako.  Watch Villa Rica from Track

* Students will be permitted to attend the concession stand after the National Anthem, but will need to be back in the stands for the performance of each band.  We will remain in full uniform all evening.  Our instruments and shakos will be staged on a portion of the track.  When it is Villa Rica’s turn to warm-up we will report to the track to gather our instruments and shakos.  Our warm-up time begins at the conclusion of Villa Rica’s show.

*9:30 PM Load buses to depart for CHS

10:00 PM Depart for CHS

*10:15 PM Unload equipment

*Students are dismissed after putting away their equipment.  These times depend on the performance schedule.  We will update times via Facebook and Twitter to give you a more accurate pick up time.  I hope to see you at the exhibition!
