Happy Friday everyone! As the reality of the end of summer break begins to sink in, I’m sure all of us are beset with a flood of emotions that range from excitement and anticipation to anxiety and a bit of stress. For most parents and guardians, this time can present many challenges as we try we try to meet the demands of our time and making sure our students are prepared for school. The seemingly endless list of necessary items contains things like new clothes, school supplies, room donations, participation fees and for our younger students… ice cream money 🙂 In thinking about these challenges, we all can take solace in knowing that we live in a community filled with businesses, organizations, friends and family that are willing to share our challenges and work together to ensure that our students have the things they need and deserve. Maybe now more than ever, it really does take a village to raise a child.
With that thought in mind, the Band Boosters wanted to announce today a few ways that we can all work together to support our band program with its normal operations and our students in regards to their upcoming Disney trip. These initiatives are intended to help the band boosters and parents/guardians blunt some of the financial responsibilities that are associated with supporting such a premier and storied program by reaching out to those in our village. The inspiring quality of these initiatives are that they afford our families, friends and the vibrant community of Trojan alumni and supporters the opportunity to encourage our students through their donations, gifts and normal spending habits. We hope that you all take advantage of these opportunities.
- Make Me A Whole Person: This is a direct benefit fundraiser that allows students to raise funds to go directly to their personal trip balances. This fun and unique fundraiser not only offers a variety of funding levels but also provides the opportunity for family, friends and other supporters who may not be local the opportunity to participate and support our students. The Make Me A Whole Person form can downloaded here: Make Me A Whole Person or from the Forms page of our website. So we encourage you to download the form and email it or print it out and snail mail it to those close to you who normally live too far away to support our other fundraisers etc. You can also certainly use these forms to raise funds locally as well. This fundraiser will run through November 3rd, when final trip payments are due. All forms and funds from this fundraisers must be turned prior to this date. All other details can be found on the form itself.
- Disney Trip Sponsorships: The Disney Trip Sponsorship Program requests and allows those who support the CHS Trojan Band to make donations of any size to the Band Boosters in sponsorship of a designated student’s or to a student designated by the Band Boosters, Disney trip balance. This is a truly unique way to make a huge impact in the lives of a student an allow them the chance to participate in a once in a life time performance, making memories that will last for years to come. We hope that everyone will consider this opportunity to give a helping hand to those who may not have the financial resources to afford such a significant expense. Sponsorships opportunities are open are open until November 3rd. All sponsorships should be designated or pledged prior to this date. There are no forms to complete, simply contact the Band Boosters at: firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to any Band Booster Officer to let them know of your desire/intent to sponsor a band student.
- AmazonSmile: The AmzaonSmile program is a give back program where the online retailer, Amazon, donates 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the CHS Band Boosters to support our normal operations and efforts in supporting our band. This really is a effortless way to support our band without it costing you anything extra.
