CHS Trojan Band

The Carrollton High School Trojan Band, one of the oldest band programs in the state, was founded in 1948 by Mr. John Dilliard. Under the leadership of only a handful of directors since, the band's success has been legendary and continues to thrive. In 2013, the band completed its marching season by earning all Superior ratings at local contests for the 41st consecutive year, a feat matched by no other high school band program in Georgia. While the band has had the honor to perform at many state, national and even international events over its history, its favorite venue is still Grisham Stadium, performing for the home crowd on a Friday night!

Enjoy your Winter Break!

The Winter Guard excelled at the SAPA show and is improving weekly, with their next performance on February 28. The community is encouraged to donate sodas for the Band BBQ on April 30 to support students. Additionally, volunteers are needed for uniform organization on February 24 and upcoming events are scheduled throughout March and April.

Congratulations on the outstanding performances by our students at the Kiwanis Showcase on Sunday night! Also, BRAVO to the students who represented us with class and professionalism at DHB this past weekend! Your performances were exceptionally! Come support the WinterGuard this Saturday at Villa Rica HS!

At Home Learning Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 26, will be an at-home learning day out of an abundance of caution due to freezing temperatures and the potential for icy roads. Our district At-Home Learning Guide is linked below, and teachers will provide further instructions regarding at-home work. We will continue to keep you posted on any updates to our schedule. Please stay safe, and we plan to see students back on campus on Tuesday, Jan. 27. https://bit.ly/CCS-AHLguide

An Outstanding Weekend!

Last weekend, twelve students from our band program excelled at UGA’s JanFest, participating in various honor bands and performances. The Winter Guard debuted their show, Echos of Us, finishing third at their competition. Upcoming events include a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade and a Winter Guard performance at Cass HS.
