Jazz Performance Evaluations
On April 16, we will perform at Cartersville High School for the annual GMEA Jazz Performance Evaluations. The performances are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, we would be honored to see you in the audience. Please bring in $10 cash, in exact change, for lunch. We will collect this ahead of time so that we all do not have to wait in line and it will speed up the process for everyone.

Band BBQ Turn In This Friday!

All money, checks, and any unsold tickets should be returned on Friday. You are responsible for the price of any unsold tickets that are not returned.
For EVERY ticket sold (single, double, or raffle ticket) and money turned in on time by April 19, the selling student will receive a ticket in the student raffle for a chance to win cool prizes. Thank you Mr. Moore for your donation of these items and many more for the BBQ Raffle!

The BBQ Sale is in full swing. Students received packets a couple of weeks ago. If you need more, call the Band office, and more will be made available to you! We also ask that you fill out the included log sheet accurately so that we can properly plan for the right number of supplies – this is a very important help to us! Remember, if you are selling to a local business or group of 10 or more, the boosters will provide delivery! It’s a great selling point! Please obtain contact information to provide to the boosters and list it with any promised delivery groups at turn in.

PACKET TURN IN NIGHT
Money for all BBQ packets are due on Friday, April 19. The boosters will be available in the band lobby from 3:00 pm until 5:00pm (immediately after school). All money, checks, and any unsold tickets should be returned at that time. Please keep up with your tickets as you will be responsible for the price of any unsold tickets that are not returned.
Fall Marching Band Meeting • April 25 • 7:00PM
We will have a meeting to go over details for Fall 2024 on April 25. At the meeting we will welcome incoming members, go over the band handbook, Band Camp and Fall dates, and announce next year’s marching band show.
Solo & Ensemble
Solo and Ensemble will take place on April 27 at Paulding County High School. Our performance block is 1:00PM. Students who are participating should arrive at PCHS with enough time to warm-up, then get in line to perform for the judges. Dress is business casual. Ensembles typically try to coordinate their attire to compliment one another so that there is some cohesion between performers.
Band Awards and Band Prom
Our awards ceremony will take place on April 27, 2024 in the Mabry Arts Center. The ceremony will start at 6:00pm and will be followed by a party in the band room until 10:00PM.
Charms Changes Ahead – Soon to be CutTime
We received news that our database that we use to keep information for the booster club has been purchased by another company. We are in the process of migrating the information and wanted to give you a heads up before the changes take place. The new software is called CutTime and it will offer similar features that we had access to in Charms.
