Saturday night concluded our competition season! It was absolutely an incredible season of which we all should be very proud. We completed our competitive season at Peach State in Rome where we competed amongst 25 bands. In Open class we placed 2nd in Band, 2nd in Percussion, 1st in Drum Major, and 1st in Colorguard! Overall we ranked 3rd in Band, 2nd in Percussion, 1st in Drum Major, and 1st in Colorguard! We should be very proud of our season. Every score we received this weekend was above a 90. Percussion was awarded a 93, Guard a 94.5, Drum Majors a 96, and the 5 band scores were: 95.4, 95.6, 96.5, 97, and 97.8! Outstanding job!!! We saw some tremendous band programs this weekend and we are honored to be amongst them. Congratulations to James Clemens High School from Alabama on their Grand Championship. We heard that your show was exceptionally clean and well put together! We look forward to when our paths cross again.

This week we have rehearsals to help our winds and percussion prepare for the upcoming concert, Thursday’s marching band rehearsal is right after school until 6, Senior Night on Friday, and we will be performing our Halloween Show.

Congratulations to our Carrollton Junior High Wind Ensemble!

Our CJHS Wind Ensemble under the direction of Ms. Maria Menendez gave a captivating performance as the featured ensemble at the Reinhardt University Middle School Honor Band event on Friday, October 21. We are so fortunate to have a tremendous team of educators who inspire our students at all ages to achieve excellence. The more experiences that our students can have, the more well rounded they continue to develop. They were joined by Brandyn Taylor and Christopher Mothersole for a beautiful performance of Gabriel’s Oboe, and concluded with an exciting performance Dark Ride. It was so cool to see the other middle school students in the audience responding to their music making. If you get a minute please congratulate Ms. Menendez and her outstanding studnets!

Amazon • 2 Ways to Help • Snacks Needed
THANK YOU so much to our parents and friends who have ordered items from our Amazon Wishlist! The snacks for the away games, Gadsden and South Paulding were all provided from generous donations from our Amazon Wishlist. If you are able and willing to assist by purchasing items from the wishlist it helps both monetarily and assist us with our time since it removes the need for someone to go out and purchase the items. If you see items on our list that you can find less expensive elsewhere and would rather shop for them, we have a booster storage room where we can store donated snacks. Your generosity makes a difference and we are very appreciative. THANK YOU!!!!
