Join the Band!

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Carrollton High School Trojan Band! Currently, we have three band classes throughout the day for winds and percussion, and a class 4th block for colorguard students. All classes meet together after school to create the Trojan Marching Band. Auditions are required to determine class placement, and all members are eligible to participate in the marching band. Our marching band performs for all home and away football games, pep rallies, parades, exhibitions, and competitions.

Wind/Percussion Auditions

Wind and Percussion students audition each semester for class placement. All students who audition are eligible for participation in the Trojan Marching Band. More information regarding auditions can be found by visiting our audition page.

Marching Percussion Auditions

To set the instrumentation for front ensemble and drumline, we have audition clinics for our marching percussionists. Percussionists also complete a class placement audition to determine which concert ensemble they will perform with in the fall.

Marching Percussion Clinics

  • March 31 & April 1 • 4:00PM – 6:00PM CHS Band Room
  • April 21 & 22 • 4:00PM – 7:00PM CHS Band Room

Trojan Colorguard Auditions

The Trojan Colorguard is a member of our Marching Band. Students meet during a 4th block class where fundamentals and choreography are taught to ensure student success.

Colorguard Clinics

It is highly recommended for aspiring students to attend the workshops to build required skills for auditions. Previous experience is not necessary. Students will participate in a clinic style audition. Wear athletic clothing, be ready to try new things, have a great attitude, and be prepared to be outside.

  • April 16 and April 18 • 4:00PM – 6:00PM in the CHS Band Room
  • April 21, 23, and 24 • 4:00PM – 6:00PM in the CHS Band Room
