LGPE and Universal This Week!

Last week was another remarkable week for our Trojan Band! The Winter Guard traveled to Chattahooche HS and placed 3rd place in Scholastic A competition, scoring a 76.590, another 7-point improvement from last week! We still have their Friends and Family show in our gym on March 26 and SAPA Championships on March 28-29, in Chattanooga, TN. This week, our bands all travel to LGPE at the Carroll County Performing Arts Center, and we depart for our Universal Trip on Friday morning!

UNIVERSAL BAND REHEARSALS and TRIP MEETING

We depart for Universal Studios on Friday! The weather is looking pretty good. Temperatures range from 52 – 85, with most days in the high 70s during the warmest times and above 60 while we are in the park. 60 is chilly to some; you may want to pack some light cool-weather gear for the evenings. We will be in the parks all day. Wear comfortable clothing, good socks, and good shoes. I hear that Epic doesn’t have a lot of shaded areas. Bring gear to remain comfortable in the sun. We will wear our trip shirts during our day at Universal Studios on Monday so that we can get a photo in front of Gru’s house in our Minion shirts.

Remember to Pack

  • 1 Suitcase, 1 Small Carry On
  • Instrument (mouthpiece, all accessories)
  • Music
  • Comfortable clothes for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
  • Toiletries (Toothbrush, hairbrush, deodorant, floss
  • Sun gear (sunglasses, sunscreen)
  • Rain gear (poncho, umbrella)
  • Cell phone and an extra battery pack
  • Cell phone charge (multiple if you have them)

Friday, our report time to the school is 4:00AM to load buses. We are departing for Orlando at 4:30AM.



BBQ Sale Started Last Week, Please Spread the Word!

BBQ Packets were passed out last Monday. Thank you for your assistance in selling tickets and for spreading the word! We would also really appreciate your help securing businesses to purchase meals for their employees. We are willing to deliver large orders to make it easier on our customers.


All In One Items Still Available

We have a few All In One Items that we can sell you. They were purchased in hopes of selling them during pick up. If you would like to purchase, please reach out to Lee Wimberly – pastorlee@northpointbaptist.com.


Soda Donations Requested

As we prepare for our annual Band BBQ, we are asking our band families and community supporters to consider donating sodas to help make this event as impactful as possible for our students. We use 12-ounce cans of Coca-Cola, Diet Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Dr. Pepper.

These beverages frequently go on sale throughout the year. By working together and purchasing during promotional pricing, we can stretch our dollars further and reduce event expenses. Every cost we lower means more proceeds go directly to supporting our students through instrument purchases, travel opportunities, scholarships, and program needs. The event is on April 30, 2026, so there is no immediate need, but we wanted to get the word out early so we can begin keeping an eye out for sales.

Thank you for always finding ways to support the Trojan Band. Your generosity continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
