This week, we have our Christmas Concert on Monday evening and will be traveling to cheer on our football team in the State Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Tuesday! It is an exciting week for us, and we look forward to doing our part to bring home that championship! Thursday and Friday are final exams at CHS. 3rd and 4th block finals are Thursday, and 1st and 2nd block finals are on Friday. Additionally, Friday is a 12:30PM Early Release to start our Christmas Vacation.

Last year, our game started late. I will communicate using the CutTime App if we anticipate arriving earlier or later than 1:30AM. Please note that the Benz is a cashless venue. There are kiosks to convert cash to a prepaid credit card, which can be used in the Benz and other places. Also, fans will have to have a clear bag. The students will enter through security and will have their bags and equipment checked before entering.

Christmas Sponsorship

You continue to show up in a BIG way! Thank you so much for your assistance in sponsoring a family for Christmas. A Very Special thank you to Yvonne Haley and our student leadership for wrapping the gifts on Thursday, last after school! The presents look amazing, there is no doubt that this will be a very special Christmas for them. The gifts will be picke up this week!

District Honor Band Auditions

On Saturday, we had numerous students audition for the District Honor Band. We were told that the results will be released on Monday. If your child auditioned on Saturday, we are SO THANKFUL for your support and encouragement. The gift of DHB is in the preparation process. Students who consistently put forth effort in pursuit of this goal are leaders! Going through this process is a great way to prepare for the rigor required in college auditions and can prepare students to receive music scholarships. These students set the pace in our program, and we are so thankful for their courage and dedication to audition! Thank you for getting them to the audition and cheering them on along the way.
