Friday night we performed a special halftime show for Halloween. We were joined by Ms. Ledbetter, Ms. Poole, Mr. Richardson and Rhodey, Madame Bagby, Hector, the cheer team, dance, and our computer science team! It was so much fun performing Lady Gaga’s the Dead Dance, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and The Monster Mash alongside these teams and being accompanied by a custom lightshow programmed by Mr. Blakemore and his computer science students! (Sorry that I don’t have any pictures yet).

To start the evening the parents cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and provided an opportunity to trick-or-treat at the band room for our band students. It was good family fun and our TROJANS WON the Region Championship! Thank you so much to the parents who donated candy, participated in the decorating, donated food, prepared the food, served the food, and cheered us on. You made the night special for our students! Thank you!

This Friday is a professional development day for teachers, so no school for our students. Our next football game will be home vs. North Forsyth on November 14.

UGA Saxophone Day

On October 26, CHS Trojan Band student, Tyler Clotfelter, attended the University of Georgia to participate in their annual Saxophone Day. There, he had the opportunity to participate in a master class with the UGA saxophone professor in preparation. Congratulations Tyler on being selected to participate and thank you so much for looking for extra opportunities to further your musical development.

All-in-One Sale

All-in-One Sale was due last Thursday. If you forgot to turn in anything, we can accept them tomorrow at the latest. Tomorrow is the last day that we can accept anything so that we can get the orders turned in on time for delivery on November 21. Items will be available for pick up on:

Columbus Schowb School of Music All-State Day

Yesterday, Ann Haley and Tyler Clotfelter attended Columbus State University where they had the opportuntiy to participate in a clinic in preparation of District Honor Band and All-State Auditions. They each performed a mock audition for Columbus State professors and had the opportunity to see CHS Trojan Band alumnus Connor Haley! Congratulations Ann and Tyler! Thank you for seeking extra opportunities and representing our program so well. You are leaders in our program and in our school. We appreciate you being outstanding role models for your peers.
