Last week, our Trojans faced East Coweta on Friday. Although it was Fall Break, our Trojan Band showed up for our community and to cheer on our Trojans! Our students performed with spirit in the stands, wowed the crowd with the second half of our show, and helped our team secure another overwhelming victory. Our football team is now 9-0 for the season! This Friday, we do not have a football game, but Saturday is one of our biggest days of the year, the Legacy of Champions Marching Competition (LoC). The LoC is our annual home competition. It requires all of us to work together to be successful. If you have not volunteered yet, please do so tonight. VOLUNTEER HERE
We are still looking for equipment to help haul band gear, specifically front ensemble pieces. We need trailers like the one seen here and vehicles that can pull it (ATVs, side by sides, etc.). Trailers needs to have a ramp for rolling equipment on. It also needs to have some form of railing/wall so equipment cannot roll off errantly. The vehicle could be anything with a trailer hitch that is powerful enough to pull a similar trailer.
If you have one or both and would like to let us borrow it, we would LOVE to talk with you. If you would rather not let someone else drive your equipment, we would LOVE for you to join our team and help us make band students smile!
We could also use golf carts, tents, desserts, and volunteers in having the best weekend of the year. If you are interested, you can sign up at the following link, or reach out to ask questions! VOLUNTEER HERE

Carrollton Trojan Band Alumni UGA Battle Hymn Soloists
The University of Georgia Redcoat Band has a 25-year-old tradition of featuring a trumpet soloist to start their rendition of Battle Hymn for pre-game. This tradition has expanded to the Dawg Walk as well. Out of a trumpet section of 70 students, 4 soloists were selected and 2 are Trojan Band Alumni! This past weekend each of them had the honors of performing at one of the events during the UGA vs. Ole Miss game! Justin Arnold performed the solo from the bridge over looking the Dawg Walk, and Walker McCullough had the honor to perform it mic’d from the upper deck for over 90,000 fans in Sanford Stadium during pre-game. Dr. Carr had the opportunity to visit and watch both performances.
Justin and Walker delivered remarkable performances that were both courageous and flawless, earning well-deserved recognition in the spotlight. Their dedication and artistry reflect the highest standards of the Carrollton Band program. Several years ago, Carrollton alumna Maggi Hines set a strong example with her own outstanding performances, serving as an inspiration to those who followed. It is evident that Justin and Walker carried that legacy forward, and their success now stands as a powerful model for our current members. Their achievements serve as a reminder that when students aspire to excellence and commit themselves fully to the work required, extraordinary opportunities will follow. The Carrollton Band is proud to celebrate their accomplishments and looks forward to the continued success of our talented musicians. “We are incredibly proud of Justin and Walker,” said Chris Carr, Director of Bands at Carrollton High School. “Their success highlights what is possible when talent, discipline, and passion come together. They represent not only their own hard work, but also the spirit of excellence that defines our band program and inspires future generations of musicians.”

All in One Sale

A few notes: 1) We are not selling fruit this year because our vendor was not able to deliver the fruit in time. We considered a later delivery, but our most popular item, the Hamlin Oranges, wouldn’t be available at all. Therefore, we decided to only sell items provided by our other vendor, Southern Heritage Farms. We did, however, add a few new products! In addition to all of your favorite meats from last year, we have included regular smoked bacon and their 4lb. New York Style Cheesecake! 2) Our pick-up location has changed this year. Mr. Wimberly has generously offered to lead our efforts for this fundraiser this year, and he serves as the lead pastor at North Point Baptist Church. He and his church have offered to host the pick-up there. Please make mention of these items since they are changes from last year.
