Spin Camp 1st Year Success!

Last week, we had our inaugural Colorguard Spin Clinic. It was a wonderful week that allowed our colorguard leadership a chance to practice leading and for our newest colorguard members to coach potential colorguard students in the 6th – 8th grades. It was a fun week, and we look forward to hosting this again next year! Students had a great time growing with one another, and we culminated with a colorguard cookout to bring our students and parents together!

This week and next week we have our uniform sizings and the percussion meetings!

Summer Health Class

The eADAP course should be finished by now. If not, no worries, but please prioritize this for this week. This is one of the most important steps. We cannot provide credit without completing the eADAP course, which is a mandatory step to get a driver’s license.

Students who participate in the Marching Band at Carrollton High School have a special opportunity to complete a health course online to receive credit for Health and PE through participation in the Marching Band. This information was posted to the Google Classroom last Thursday. Students participating in this opportunity should be enrolled in the Google Classroom (code: s5ik2u3c).

STEP 1: Complete eADAP Certification • Click Here for Registration

  • Click Continue
  • Fill out the Information (choose “Other”)
  • You will receive an email with your Login Information
  • Log In (Link on the left of the page or here for convenience: Log In Here)
  • Complete the eADAP Course
  • Upload a PDF of your eADAP Certificate to the eADAP assignment in this Google Classroom.

Uniform Sizing Dates

Mrs. Bush and our uniform committee have set aside these times during the summer to make sure that students are fitted for uniforms in time for our photos during the first week of band camp. Please make an appointment using the links. The times are separated by class, but if you need to attend one of the other sessions please email Mrs. Bush or Dr. Carr and sign up for the appointment that does work for you.

2026 Band Trip • Universal Studios

We had our meeting on Friday, June 13, where we announced the trip and discussed the cost and the fundraising plan. We understand that many are out of town, so we wanted to make sure that everyone got the information here. We would love for all students in the Trojan Marching Band to travel with us to Universal Studios this March! We will travel from March 20 – 24, 2026, and participate in a sound stage experience where the students will record the background music, dialogue, and sound FX for a scene from Despicable Me! This will be an exciting experience in addition to the opportunities to observe the performance industry while visiting Universal Studios Orlando, Islands of Adventure, and the newest park EPIC Universe! We will spend 2 days at EPIC, and have 2 days at Universal/Islands of Adventure with park-to-park privileges, so the students will have the opportunity to ride many roller coasters throughout the trip!

For more information and to sign-up for the trip please visit https://chstrojanband.com/26-bandtrip/ • Sign up using the links to the Super Holiday Tours website.

Band Clean Up Day

We need help from parents and students for band clean-up day! We will reorganize the garage, the booster storage room (freezer room), and the castle (storage in the house behind the band room). We will only meet from 8:00AM – 12:00PM. Tasks include sanitizing water coolers, reorganizing the garage/castle, double-checking the first aid kits, organizing the freezer room, organizing the guard closet, and getting the band facility ready to host the county for the 4th of July parade. We need help from parents and students. If you are available, we GREATLY appreciate your time and efforts. Thank you for helping! Volunteer Here
