Lsat week was AWESOME!!! We finished up the Marching Percussion and Fall Colorguard Auditions, Jazz Band rocked the house, Solo & Ensemble participants performed with talent and professionalism, and our students enjoyed themselves at the PROM! I look forward to seeing more photos at school on Monday. Our students clean up so well! Beautiful and handsome young men and women. We look forward to celebrating our seniors again this Thursday at our BBQ. Seniors, don’t forget to wear some wacky socks for our retirement ceremony during Battle Hymn. Also, this week we have our Kick Off Meeting on Tuesday night at 7:00PM in the Band Room. We will announce next year’s show.

2025 – 2026 Kick-Off Meeting!
We will have our annual parent meeting on Tuesday evening at 7:00PM to kick off the new season! We could use your help to greet our 8th-grade parents and make them feel welcome. Take a moment to get to know them and share how incredible marching band is for your child! Your advocacy goes a long way. We have some very exciting things in store for next season, and we look forward to making more memories next year.
Straight Superiors! Solo & Ensemble and Jazz Evaluations!
Last Tuesday, our Trojan Jazz Bands traveled to Cartersville High School for the GMEA Jazz Performance Evaluations. Our students showed up and showed out again! All 3 ensembles earned superior ratings and entertained the crowd. They will perform their music for our home crowd on Thursday at the BBQ! CB Jazz starts at 6:00PM.
Additionally, we had 12 performances at Solo & Ensemble on Saturday at Paulding County High School. Momar Diack performed Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy on piano, Tyler Clotfelter performed Sonata in G Minor by JS Bach arranged by John Harle on soprano saxophone, William Rivera, Angel Lopez, Emma Englebird, and Miracle Grace Hayles performed the Monsters Inc Theme arranged by Miracle Grace Hayles as a brass quartet, Tyler Clotfelter, Yael Ramirez, Camren Harley, and Samantha Berg performed Libertango by Bernard Manilla as a saxophone quartet, Samuel Wimberly and Tyler Clotfelter performed Gregory Wannamaker’s Duo Sonata as a duet, Tyler Clotfelter performed an etude by Marcel Mule on Alto Saxophone, McKenzie Swain and Dani Gray performed In Dulci Jubilo as a bass clarinet duet, Hunter Moore and Lucas Priest performed Palladio by Karl Jenkins as a euphonium duet, Lucas Priest and Megan Ou performed Adagio by Joaquin Rodrigo, Hunter Moore and Carson Moore performed Herbie Hancock’s Chamelon as a baritone and bass duet, Hunter Moore performed movement IV of the Blue Lake Fantasies by David Gillingham on euphonium, and Tyler Clotfelter, Yael Ramirez, Camren Harley, and Samatha Berg performed Final Boss by Chris Evan Hass as a saxophone ensemble. All performances earned the highest marks! Superiors across the board! These students picked their own music, organized their own rehearsals, and prepared this music on their own! Each showed tremendous talent and leadership throughout the process. If you see them, please share a well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!!
