Last week our students continued their outstanding year so far! The band students collaborated with our choir for a holiday celebration complete with Santa Claus and snow! It was a festive evening and a fun way to celebrate our students’ hard work while giving back to our community. Then on Friday morning our percussion students led our 9/10 Trojans through the CUES to celebrate their State Championship appearance this past Saturday. This week we travel to the Mercedes Benz Stadium to cheer on Trojans in one final football game- The State Championship vs. Grayson high school. We will combine the bands again for halftime and close out with a combined performance for Battle Hymn!

Join us on December 17, 2024 for our annual Winter Booster Club meeting! We will have serve cookies and cocoa at the meeting. We hope to see you there in the band room at 7:00PM immediately following our winterguard practice.

District Honor Band • Results TBA

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our students who auditioned for District Honor Band yesterday at East Paulding High School! Setting the goal to audition and being willing to represent our school takes courage. Continue to pursue opportunities that require you to step out of your comfort zone. Doing so increases your opportunity for growth and can serve as a catalyst for you reaching your full potential. Thank you for leading others in our band program!

Dr. Carr received an email this evening stating that they are having trouble with the data base for the auditions. DHB lists should be announced soon. They are working on getting the issue solved to notify students who have advanced to the 2nd round.
