Wind Ensemble Rehearsal on Tuesday
The Wind Ensemble will travel via bus to UWG for a rehearsal with Dr. Byrd, UWG Director of Bands, in their newly renovated facility. Unfortunately, their percussion equipment is not available on Tuesday so our percussionists will rehearse in our band room with Mr. Nelson. Percussion will meet from 3:30PM – 6:00PM, the rest of the ensemble will meet at UWG from 4:00pm – 6:30pm in the UWG Band Room located in their Humanities Building. Percussion students should be picked up from the band room. Winds should be picked up at the Humanities building at the University of West Georgia. If you need your child to drive to the rehearsal at UWG, please send an e-mail to Dr. Carr or have your child bring a note from you.
Chair Placement Auditions RESCHEDULED
We learned that we a large number of students who are traveling with our history department to a field trip on Thursday who will not be back until late on Thursday evening. Because of the conflict, we are moving our chair placement auditions to December 3. This will give our students an extra week to prepare. Please make a note of this change. Students were provided with their audition material on the first day of school. We work on scales and sight-reading daily in class. Visit our Audition Page for more information regarding auditions. The etude for this audition is the GMEA Lyrical Etude for their respective instrument and grade (9-10 Concert Band CB and 11-12 Symphonic Band SB).

Veteran’s Day
The students did an OUTSTANDING JOB performing for the assemblies throughout the day and with their concert on Monday night honoring our Veterans! All performing ensembles did remarkably well. America the Beautiful by the Harmony Winds was beautifully performed and American Salute by the Wind Ensemble was intense and exciting. Then to top it all off the Marching Band marched out into the audience and provided a surround sound spectacle. We were honored to host residents from the Trinka Davis Veterans Village as well as from the Birches on Maple. Thank you so much to Iakesha Releford and Jillian Walker for coordinating their visit. We look forward to hosting them again in the future!
ALL IN ONE UPDATE • IMPORTANT • Date change
In addition to this being posted last week, students were handed back their order forms last week and asked to help spread the news about the change. Thank you so much for your help in spreading the word. This does not affect our meat delivery, only the fruit delivery. Sign Up To Volunteer with Distribution
Our fruit vendor, Florida Indian River Groves, informed us that six tornados produced by Hurricane Milton impacted Indian River County that damaged their property and resulted in some fruit loss. They assured us that the remaining fruit is of exceptional quality and reminded us that it is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Due to the damages it has understandably put them behind schedule, so they will be unable to deliver by November 22. We will still have the meats that were ordered ready for pick up at Tabernacle on November 22 from 9:00AM – 6:00PM and November 23 from 9:00AM – 12:00PM, but the fruits will not be delivered until the first week of December. We do not have a specific delivery date at this time, but it will be between December 2nd and 6th. More information will be announced as it becomes available.
We need your help! Please make sure your customers are aware of this change.
Carroll County Fine Arts College Fair
Our 11th and 12th graders attended the annual Carroll County Fine Arts College Fair today. Thank you so much for Mr. Neil Ruby for coordinating this event. There were more than 20 colleges represented with representatives from their music (band/chorus/orchestra), theater, and art departments. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the admission process, learn about audition timelines, and raise awareness about the various opportunities available for them to continue their participation in Fine Arts avocations after high school. It was a special morning and we appreciate the opportunity to participate.
Legacy of Champions Video Ordering Instructions
