9-0! UGA and LOC This Week

We hope that everyone had a relaxing week last week. Thank you so much for working out your week so that we could keep our commitment to our football team and travel to East Coweta to support them to their 63-10 victory! Our Trojans are now 9-0 as we enter our bye week before finishing the regular season next Friday at Douglas County for the Region Championship game.

Although we do not have a game on Friday, this is a busy week for us! Tuesday night we host the Carrollton Invitational Marching Exhibition (Volunteer Here) and on Saturday we host our 10th Annual Legacy of Champions Marching Competition (Volunteer Here)! We need your help at both of these events, thank you for signing up to volunteer.

All In One Sale • Due October 18, 2024

Did you forget to turn in your All-In One Sales? They were due last Friday, but we can accept them tomorrow, Monday October 21. All orders must be in by 3:00pm tomorrow to be included in the order. Thank you for participating in the fundraiser!

UGA Exhibition on 10/22

Tuesday we host Bremen, Bowdon, Cedartown, Model, Starr’s Mill, and the UGA Redcoat Band on our campus for a marching band exhibition. We need your help! Please SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER today. Get your tickets here

Trojan Band Itinerary

  • 3:30PM Report after school and begin setting up
  • 4:00PM All props, sound crew, and front ensemble should be staged in our location on the track
  • 4:15PM Dinner
  • 5:00PM Uniform Check
  • 5:30PM Report to our spot in the stands
  • Performance Order
    • Bowdon 6:00PM
    • Bremen 6:30PM
    • Cedartown 7:00PM (We report to the track when they are finished)
    • Starr’s Mill 7:30PM (We watch their show from the track and transition on to warm-up when they finish)
    • Carrollton 8:00PM
    • UGA 8:30PM
  • After all performances, students will assist with cleaning up all areas before we are dismissed • Approx. 10PM

Legacy of Champions (LOC) • Saturday, October 26

This Saturday, October 26 we are hosting 25 high school bands in addition to Kennesaw State University and the University of West Georgia! It will be a full day of bands and WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please sign up to VOLUNTEER FOR LoC on October 26 today!

Band Shop

Chrissy Robinson is working hard to bring great new merch options to our band fans. She will have the following items available on Friday nights in front of the band room for home games as well as Thursday night rehearsals between 7:30pm – 8:30pm. If you need something on Thursday, please email her at chrisnico52784@gmail.com so that she can make sure to have it out for you.

Thank you to everyone who has already brought in water! We are still collecting water and can accept donations any day next week. Thank you so much for your help in keeping our students hydrated!

Health in Band • Edgenuity • PAST DUE

All work was due by Friday, July 26, 2024. If you have not completed the eADAP course yet, it could close any day now. Last I checked, it was still open, but you are on borrowed time. This is the first year that we have used Edgenuity. Complete it today so that you can get your credit and be done.
