Exhibition Tuesday • 8th Grade Night Friday

Thank you for everyone’s support on Friday as we held class virtually. Thankfully the storm veered more eastwardly than the originally predicted. We know that we still had families without power, but are thankful that the effect of the storms on our community wasn’t as severe as anticipated.

This week we have our Composite photos during class and the County Exhibition on Tuesday at Central High School, District Jazz Auditions on Wednesday at Villa Rica HS, 8th Grade Night on Friday, and our 1st Competition of the year, the Super Bowl of Sound on Saturday! Go Trojans!

All In One Sale • Due October 18, 2024

Students received fundraising packets on Monday, September 16 for our All in One Sale. If your child has not shared this packet with you, please ask them for it. Our goal is for every family to sell to at least 5 customers. If you need more order forms, please see Ms. Dothard. Here are some reminders about the sale:

  • We only offer the products listed on the white customer sheets (The brochures have extra items that we do not use)
  • The sausage price is correct on the customer sheet ($22) and wrong on the brochure
  • Orders are due back on Friday, October 18 • We are on Fall Break that week, but have a game on Friday
  • http://www.chsbandshop.com will soon have the items listed and allow your customers to purchase online. Online orders will incur a convenience fee to cover the credit card processing fees.
  • For every item sold, the students will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win many cool prizes. Thank you Edward Moore for providing the incentives for the students! All names will be drawn, and then students will get to choose what they would like to win based on how many items that they sale. Student winners who sell the same number of items will choose in the order that they were picked. Prizes include: hover boards, Apple Airpods, Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones, Roller Skates, and more!
  • Pick Up Dates: November 22 from 9:00AM – 6:00PM and November 23 from 9:00AM – 12:00PM
  • Perishable items not picked up will be donated to a local food bank

Legacy of Champions & Exhibition on 10/22 • We Need You!

We have 2 very important events that are quickly approaching. We cannot host these events without your help! Please sing-up to volunteer so that we can be great hosts and leave our visitors excited to return in the future.

On October 22 we will be hosting Bremen, Bowdon, Cedartown, Model, Starr’s Mill, and the UGA Redcoat Band on our campus for a marching band exhibition. We need your help! Please SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER today.

On October 26 we are hosting 23 high school bands in addition to Kennesaw State University and the Univeristy of West Georgia! It will be a full day of bands and WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please sign up to VOLUNTEER FOR LoC on October 26 today!

Band Shop

Chrissy Robinson is working hard to bring great new merch options to our band fans. She will have the following items available on Friday nights in front of the band room for home games as well as Thursday night rehearsals between 7:30pm – 8:30pm. If you need something on Thursday, please email her at chrisnico52784@gmail.com so that she can make sure to have it out for you.

Thank you to everyone who has already brought in water! We are still collecting water and can accept donations any day next week. Thank you so much for your help in keeping our students hydrated!

Health in Band • Edgenuity • PAST DUE

All work was due by Friday, July 26, 2024. If you have not completed the eADAP course yet, it could close any day now. Last I checked, it was still open, but you are on borrowed time. This is the first year that we have used Edgenuity. Complete it today so that you can get your credit and be done.
