Trojans 5-0 • Travel to Birmingham

Outstanding week again! This season continues to be full of teamwork and memories. The student leadership continues to do an outstanding job lifting one another up, the rehearsals continue to be exceptional, and the games full of vitality and so much fun! Gainesville’s band directors were very complimentary of our students performances and parents’ hospitality, but one of their bus drivers stopped Mr. Moore and told him, ” I am not moving this bus until I get to speak to your band director.” When I check in to see how I could help him, he just told me that he couldn’t leave until he let me know that our band was awesome. He enjoyed listening to the many different songs that were performed in the stands and really enjoyed watching the students having a great time supporting our team. BRAVO to all involved for another exceptional week! The weather unfortunately did not cooperate again, so we have rescheduled our ceremony to honor the Rivers’ family to October 4.

This week we travel to Birmingham, AL to face Parker HS. Please keep in mind that they have a clear bag policy.

Parker Game Itinerary

We travel to Birmingham, Alabama for the game against Parker HS on Friday. We will be grabbing dinner on the way to the bus and Mrs. Malmquist is sending us extra food because we know the students will be hungry on the way home too! Thank you to Simply Catering for sponsoring our pre-game meal and to the CHS Nutrition Team for sponsoring our post game meal! We are very blessed to have strong support for our students.

  • 3:15PM Report to the band room – Load the Trailer
  • 4:30PM Uniform Check • Gold tops this week • Use the restroom before reporting in Uniform
  • 4:35PM Grab Dinner on the Way to the Bus
  • 4:45PM Depart for Parker HS
  • 6:30PM CST Arrive and Unload at Parker HS
  • 7:00PM CST Kick-off • Watch us on ESPN!
  • 10:30PM CST Game Ends
  • 11:30PM CST Depart for Home

Band Shop

Chrissy Robinson is working hard to bring great new merch options to our band fans. She will have the following items available on Friday nights in front of the band room for home games as well as Thursday night rehearsals between 7:30pm – 8:30pm. If you need something on Thursday, please email her at chrisnico52784@gmail.com so that she can make sure to have it out for you.

Health in Band • Edgenuity • PAST DUE

All work was due by Friday, July 26, 2024. If you have not completed the eADAP course yet, that is still open. Get it done now. The rest of the coursework must be completed in Edgenuity and is set up by an assistant principal. If you did not complete the Edgenuity for any reason, please email Dr. Carr. He will be discuss how to proceed with administration.
