Congratulations on another outstanding week! We learned the drill and performed part 3 of the show this week, then prepared a wonderful ceremony for SSG William Rivers. Unfortunately the weather had other plans. Mrs. Rivers was in great spirits and mentioned that her husband was a bit of a prankster. She said that he made it rain on the day he was honored at the Veteran’s Memorial Park as well. We are going to try again this Friday, stay tuned for updates. This week we see Lithia Springs and honor our seniors for Senior Night. Their ceremony is also pregame, we are working on logistics of the 2 ceremonies and will communicate more details as they become available. Seniors, please see Dr. Carr before reporting to the cafeteria for your photos to get your cord for your uniform. Your pregame ceremony starts at 6:55PM, we will exit the AMP with plenty of time for you to make it back to your parents for your ceremony. When you are finished there will be time for you to join us for the National Anthem.

This week we will begin learning the closer! Friday’s performance will only include the 3 parts that we performed vs. Rome, but we plan on finishing the drill up on Saturday, just in time to debut Dream On for the Gainesville game!

We hope everyone enjoys some family time and a relaxing break before returning for a another outstanding week. No school on Monday, HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Lithia Springs Game Itinerary

We have another home game on Friday. Students should eat before reporting at 5:45PM to get into uniform. Students should pre-order their concessions on Thursday between 5:00pm – 5:45pm in the band room lobby. The stairwell will be closed earlier this week to allow our seniors to get into uniform before they report for SR Night photos.

• 4:20PM Stairwell closed to ascending traffic so that we can get the uniforms down the band room
• 4:30PM Uniforms available
• 5:00PM Seniors report to the cafeteria for photos
• 5:45PM Report and get into uniform
• 6:15PM Uniform Check
• 6:20PM Depart for the AMP (VERY SHORT this week)

Band Shop

Chrissy Robinson is working hard to bring great new merch options to our band fans. She will have the following items available on Friday nights in front of the band room for home games as well as Thursday night rehearsals between 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Health in Band • Edgenuity • PAST DUE

All work was due by Friday, July 26, 2024. If you have not completed the eADAP course yet, that is still open. Get it done now. The rest of the coursework must be completed in Edgenuity and is set up by an assistant principal. If you did not complete the Edgenuity for any reason, please email Dr. Carr. He will be discuss how to proceed with administration.
