Last week our students had outstanding performances at Jazz Performance Evaluations, we had clinics for Color Guard and Marching Percussion, Honored the academic achievements of our students at Honors Night, and celebrated the year with our upperclassmen at Prom. Although the year is winding down, we continue to rev-up!

Guard and Percussion Auditions

Guard and Percussion Auditions will take place this week.

• Guard will meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm
• Percussion meet on Monday and Tuesday from 4:00pm – 6:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00pm – 5:30pm.

Band BBQ Turn In • Did you Miss It?

Reminder: All money, checks, and any unsold tickets should have been turned in last Friday. If you forgot, please bring them to band room ASAP. You are responsible for the price of any unsold tickets that are not returned. 

Students who turned in money on time last Friday will receive 1 ticket for EVERY ticket sold (single, double, or raffle ticket) for a student raffle! Thank you Mr. Moore for your donation of these items and many more for the BBQ Raffle!

Although our presale has officially finished. You can continue to share and advertise the event. It is a wonderful day for our band program which brings our community together and meals can be purchased at the counter. Thank you so much for your help in spreading the word!

Fall Marching Band Meeting • THURSDAY, April 25 • 7:00PM

We will have a meeting to go over details for Fall 2024 on April 25 (THIS THURSDAY). At the meeting we will welcome incoming members, go over the band handbook, Band Camp and Fall dates, and announce next year’s marching band show.

Solo & Ensemble • Saturday, April 27 • 1:00PM

Solo and Ensemble is this Saturday, April 27 at Paulding County High School. Our performance block is 1:00PM. Students who are participating should arrive at PCHS with enough time to warm-up, then get in line to perform for the judges. Dress is business casual. Ensembles typically try to coordinate their attire to compliment one another so that there is some cohesion between performers.

Band Awards and Band Prom • Saturday, April 27 • 6:00PM

Our awards ceremony will take place on April 27, 2024 in the Mabry Arts Center. The ceremony will start at 6:00pm and will be followed by a party in the band room until 10:00PM. Would you like to help out? We still need volunteers for the after party.

Charms Changes Ahead – Soon to be CutTime

We received news that our database that we use to keep information for the booster club has been purchased by another company. We are in the process of migrating the information and wanted to give you a heads up before the changes take place. The new software is called CutTime and it will offer similar features that we had access to in Charms.
