One more week before school starts! Quick reminder that we will rehearse again on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week. These rehearsals are very important because we still have work to do before our first game on Friday, August 18. School starts on the 14th, which is when we will begin our normal rehearsal schedule.

Pelican’s Spirit Day

Pelican’s is donating a portion of the profits earned this Thursday from 2:00pm – 5:00pm to our Trojan Band! Please be sure to let them know that you are there to support the Trojan Band Spirit Day. DCI Finals Viewing Party

On Saturday, August 12 we will open the band room for a DCI finals viewing party. DCI (Drum Corps International) is marching band’s most advanced performers. It is known as Marching Band’s Major League. The top 12 Corps will perform for finals and another world champion will be crowned. The band room will open at 5:00pm. Attendance is free, donations are welcome! Students are encouraged to bring snacks (ie. chips, desserts) and sodas to share. Students also typically bring comfortable camping chairs or picnic blankets to use while watching the performances. It’s a fun time of fellowship while cheering on the best of the best!
Concessions Volunteer
In order to maximize our student’s break time during 3rd Quarter Break, we have the students pre-order their items on Thursday’s before home games. We. are in need of a few volunteers to assist with these orders. VOLUNTEER HERE

Candlelight Ceremony Rescheduled
We have rescheduled the practice on August 17 to 5:30pm – 8:30pm so that we can have the candlelight ceremony afterwards from 8:45pm – 9:00pm. This was voted on by our seniors and student leadership.
Band Shoppe Survey
The Holtzclaw’s are doing a great job running the Band Shoppe and have put together a survey to allow you to provide feedback on items that you would like to see us carry. Health Class • Past Due
Just a reminder that the health class was due on July 31. If the class was not completed, then your child will be added to a health/PE class in person.
Water Donations
We ask that each family either donate 2 cases of bottled water or make a $10 donation towards the purchase of bottled water. Thank you so much to the families who have already sent in their donations.

World’s Finest Chocolate
We still have boxes of chocolate that is available to our members to sell for credit towards their New York Trip. These are available on a first come, first served basis. Please check in with Dr. Carr, Mr. Nelson, or Ms. Dothard if you’d like a box to sell. Anyone requesting a box is expected to bring back $60 as we cannot accept back any unsold chocolate.
Trojan Business Day: Tuesday, August 1
Please make non-resident payments, catch up on outstanding fees online, view schedules in the Infinite Campus app, and make schedule changes from home. There is no need to visit the campus this year for Trojan Business Day unless you need in person support. We will welcome everyone to campus to visit teachers, and find classrooms during Open House on Thursday, August 10th. Open House is also where you can purchase your yearbook sale, parking passes, pay senior dues, prom dues, and learn about our new transportation app for buses.

- Juniors and Seniors: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

In addition to water donations, we also have a wishlist set up on Amazon that allows parents, friends, and volunteers to easily send donations of snack items for students. The snacks are provided as side items to our meals, on the bus on our way home after a game or competition. We appreciate your help in providing these items for our students. We received many boxes from this past Prime Day sale. Thank you to all of the parents who have already sent in donations!
