  • Thursday – New Member Parent and Student Orientation 6pm – 7:30pm
  • Friday – $75 Commitment Fee is due

    • Graduation should be finished around 9:30PM
  • If the schools decides to postpone graduation due to weather, then we will perform on Saturday morning, see calendar for details.

What a great past three years it has been!  I am so proud of the work that you have done while in the Trojan Band, but am even prouder of the work that you will continue to do for our world.  I wish you each the best as you embark on your next chapter and will be praying for God’s wisdom and grace in your life.  Thank you for dedication and love that you have provided to our community.  The band is better because of you and will continue the traditions that you have left behind.  I look forward to you returning for Homecoming games to perform with the band!  Please do not be a stranger, we want to know how you are doing and hear about the wonderful blessings that are in store for you!  I look forward to congratulating each one of you on Friday night as we celebrate your accomplishments thus far and challenge you to continue your destiny, commencing the first day of the rest of your life.  I know it sounds daunting, but you are prepared.  Meet each day with a fresh perspective and don’t forget to have fun along the way!  See you soon!  – Mr. Carr

Spring Concert

Good evening!  Quick reminder about the final concert of our season tomorrow evening.  It has been a terrific year and we look forward to celebrating with our seniors with one final performance.

Students will wear their concert attire.  Concert band reports on-stage at 6:30PM, all others should report to the audience by 6:45PM.  Tomorrow’s concert will feature all three of our concert bands and a few chamber ensembles.  In addition we will be joined by the Carrollton Youth Orchestra, which will begin performing at 6:30 in the MAC lobby.  If you get a chance, please stop by and listen – you will be glad that you did!

Other important things happening this week include:

  • Fall Guard Rehearsal on Monday from 4:00pm-7:00pm (students participating in the concert will be released at 6:00pm)
  • Marching Percussion Tryouts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm
  • Band Prom on Saturday from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

This year’s band prom theme is “Once Upon A Time.”  We hope that the students have a good time decorating tables, dressing up for the theme, and hanging out with their friends on Saturday.  The event is free for our band students, courtesy of the band boosters.  Each band student is welcome to invite 1 guest to attend for $5.00.  A DJ will be in the band room keeping the party fun while a Mario Kart Tournament is happening in the large ensemble room and fellowship accompanied by some wonderful treats are enjoyed in the lobby.  Let’s send our Seniors out with the celebration that they deserve.  We will surely miss them as they have had an impact on us all.

Preview of the following week:

  • May 15 – Percussion auditions continue 3:30-5:30 and Fall Guard rehearses again from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
  • May 16 – Final day of percussion auditions 3:30-5:30
  • May 19 – Graduation – Required for all band members.  Report time is 4:30pm for dinner.  We wear our concert  attire for the performance.  If graduation is moved to Saturday morning because of unpredictable weather then we will participate on Saturday.
